Sound Advice Returns to Florida

Sound Advice, the chain of upper-end electronics stores, said it is returning to its Florida roots.

The principals, who once operated 33 locations in the state which were sold to Boston-based Tweeter have repurchased the company from the now bankrupt Massachusetts retailer.

According to officials, Sound Advice will be back in business in September, albeit in a new form. The new Sound Advice will be web- driven with on-line capabilities for ease of customer servicing and support, supported by showrooms, the first of which will open in Fort Lauderdale. According to Peter Beshouri and Michael Blumberg, company founders, times have changed since Sound Advice was first established back in the mid 1970s, and this incarnation will maintain the company’s commitment to outstanding quality and customer service, but the buying experience will be updated to the realities of today’s consumer demands.

“We’re excited to bring Sound Advice back, and we know our customers are, too,” said Beshouri. “We’re altering our business model, based on current purchasing trends and the dramatic changes in Internet intelligence since we first began
