Beech Mountain Issues Water Advisory

0 Comments | Standard – Speaker; Hazleton, Pa., Jul 8, 2010

A mandatory water conservation advisory has been issued for residents of the Beech Mountain section of Butler Township.

Residents are urged to refrain from watering lawns and washing cars until the advisory is lifted.

Total Environmental Systems, Inc., Drums – the water and wastewater services provider in the Beech Mountain development – said the advisory has been issued, in part, due to extreme temperatures and high non-essential water use. TESi has contracted with a leak-detection company to check whether a leak in the water delivery system is causing problems with the Beech Mountain water system.

The advisory will be lifted when the issues are resolved, the company said.

Any customer who experiences dirty water, low water pressure or sees any unusual puddles of water is urged to report it to TESi as a soon as possible. Call 1-800-580-6883 and be sure to report the address location of the problem.
